Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. Born on November 11, 1966. Following her film debut with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to play Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was asked by a photographer to model who asked her to take on the role of model. Doody then began to build an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid the glamour of nude roles which was a principle she applied in her acting. In 1985, following getting noticed by the directors who were casting an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody made an appearance as a character in John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising new actors for 1986. 38. Only 18 years old when she appeared in the role Doody was and is the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The first time she played the lead in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role to date as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. In the year 1991, Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal she was later chosen to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody who was absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, came back in 2003 to take on a tiny role in her role in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character as a character at an award ceremony. Doody acted alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 television movie adaptation from King Solomon's Mines and also appeared in a short film called Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet about the Holocaust and also in the British TV show Waking the Dead (in a two-part show known as. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Later, she appeared as a guest in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to star in a 2011 remake of horror classic The Asphyx but the project later stalled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018 she was awarded the Almeria award for best film as well as a star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
